BLEACH - Colors Rain

Description

I can't rant enough about how much I dislike the later BLEACH arcs past the first one... and yet despite that, I just can't stop drawing Rukia! So I did. Again.

Image inspired by the BLEACH anime's 10th ending song, Sakura Biyori. However, I ended with something completely different from what I originally intended. Well, at least it turned out kinda okay...

Version with text will be uploaded in the afternoon.

I don't have a sub, so I can't use the crit function here, but I'm guessing you'd like some feedback anyway? If not, feel free to skip this comment :)

I like the composition here, especially the way it focuses on Rukia even when she has turned away from the viewer. The way you've kept Ichigo in the shadows gives the pic a sort of a melancholy feel, and I like that too :>

However, a few things I'd like to point out;
First, the picture seems a bit too busy to me. There's a bit too much going on, if you know what I mean, for such a closely cropped composition. Especially using falling(?) maple leaves and cherry blossom petals at the same time is a tad confusing seeing as cherry blossoms = spring, falling maple leaves = fall.

Also, (if that is the default photoshop maple leaf brush I see there) using default brushes is something that easily makes your work look very amateur-ish. If you want to use a leaf brush, making your own is actually quite easy, if you haven't given it a go already I can link you to some tutorials on the subject ^^

Secondly, a few words about lineart. I'm not sure if you're going for a solid anime-style lineart, or manga-style lineart with a more varying line-weight, but in either case, I suggest trying to improve in that field. For anime styled lineart, I suggest going for a thinner line, especially around face and hair. For manga style, I suggest looking into adding some lineweight (if this term sounds unfamiliar, it basicly means thinning the line where light hits and thickening it in shaded areas). Trust me, it'll make your lines look a whole lot better ^^

Ahh, sorry if this was a bit un-asked for, but since I saw you had requested for crits, I couldn't resist typing down a few thoughts that came to mind ^^;
